Will God give you what you ask for?
No. God gives us what *he* wants us to have, but only when we are willing to accept it (that pesky free will thing again: God cannot give what we refuse to accept). Now, if our “want” corresponds with God’s design and will, then sure, we’ll get it.
How do you pray for something good to happen?
Give me assurance that there is no power greater than your name. Give me eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort my heart and establish me in every step I take. Through your mighty name, Amen. God of the Universe thank you that you have plans for me that are for my good and your glory.
What should you not ask God for?
In general, below are a few things which I think is not sensible to ask God.
- Self-centered wishes.
- Specific job.
- Change other people to agree to one’s own wishes.
- Love and Marraige.
What does the Bible say about asking God for something?
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh.
